Jonathan Knegtel, CEO and Co-Founder of The Grid, has been invited to join the Product Advisory Committee of the Digital Token Identifier Foundation.

Amsterdam, 6 March 2026. The Grid is pleased to announce that Jonathan Knegtel has joined the Product Advisory Committee (PAC) of the Digital Token Identifier Foundation (DTIF). The DTIF is the Registration Authority for ISO 24165, the global ISO standard for the unique identification of digital tokens.

The PAC brings together over 20 members from across the crypto and digital asset market. Members include global institutional investors, standard-setting bodies, academics, asset managers, and market infrastructure providers. Its work focuses on three areas: (1) providing product stewardship to the DTIF Board; (2) offering guidance on the application of Digital Token Identifiers (DTIs); and (3) advising on future product development.

For The Grid, this is a natural fit. The Grid builds off-chain intelligence infrastructure for Web3 ecosystems. Accurate, structured, and validated data sits at the core of everything it does. The DTI standard addresses the same problem as The Grid: fragmented, unreliable identification of digital assets makes it harder for everyone in the ecosystem to operate with confidence. Denis Dounaev, DTI Product Owner at Etrading Software, has described the purpose of the standard plainly: "DTI, as standard global identifier for digital assets fosters transparency, interoperability, and trust – paving the way for a more efficient and secure digital assets ecosystem." Jonathan Knegtel, CEO of The Grid, said:

"Good data infrastructure only works if it rests on good standards and if it is distributed at scale. The DTI standard is exactly that. It’s a neutral, open identifier that the whole market can build on. I'm glad to contribute to its development and bring a Web3 ecosystem data perspective to the committee."

The Grid joins PAC members that include BNY, Citi, Goldman Sachs, Swift, GLEIF, and others working to advance the adoption of ISO 24165 across global digital asset markets.

The DTIF PAC meets regularly to discuss regulatory developments, implementation guidance, and product enhancements to the DTI standard. Jonathan Knegtel will represent The Grid's perspective as a builder of Web3 data infrastructure.

About The Grid

The Grid is the intelligence platform for Web3 ecosystems. It collects and validates off-chain information about Web3 companies, products, partnerships, and ecosystem activity — giving ecosystem leaders and builders the data they need to make decisions. The Grid's Discovery Portal is available at thegrid.id.

About the Digital Token Identifier Foundation

The DTIF is a non-profit division of Etrading Software. It is the Registration Authority for ISO 24165, responsible for issuing and maintaining Digital Token Identifiers. The PAC oversees DTIF's implementation of the ISO standard and operates under FRAND (fair, reasonable, and non-discriminatory) principles. More at dtif.org and their profile on The Grid.
